ABOUT

Based in Hong Kong, Calvin Lau (劉焯文) is a trilingual emcee, broadcaster and voiceover artist across English, Mandarin and Cantonese. From luxury and commercial to corporate and public-sector events, his clients — both local and international — include West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Airport Authority Hong Kong, Rolex, Tiffany & Co., Hermès, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, at venues ranging from museums and theatres to coliseums and exhibition centres.
His voiceover work spans both government and multinational corporations, including the UK government, HKSAR Government, International Maritime Organisation, Martell, DHL, HSBC, Prudential, and K11 VR Technology & Theme Park Company Limited. He narrates Hong Kong Connection (鏗鏘集), Hong Kong's longest running and award-winning news documentary television programme on Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), the city’s public service broadcaster.
In Summer 2017, Calvin was invited to join the production crew of FX American Anthology TV Series ‘Trust’ in London as a voiceover artist and work with Academy Honorary Award winner and Hollywood actor Donald Sutherland as his Mandarin Dialect Coach. He also delivered Mandarin language coaching for British TV Series ‘Humans’ Season 3.
After completing his Masters degree in Global Media & Transnational Communications in London, Calvin has branched out into hosting television programmes on RTHK. He was a regular TV Presenter for one of Radio 1's most popular medical discussion phone-in programme that has run for over 20 years, "Healthpedia", featuring guest experts and doctors and exploring different health and wellness topics live every weekday afternoon. Previously, he hosted "Tutor Online 2020" live at the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, and the long-running "Primary School Quiz".
As a Radio Presenter predominantly on RTHK, Calvin has hosted a two-hour Sunday music show in Mandarin on AM621 Putonghua Channel since 2013, reaching households in Greater China and the global Chinese communities with his unique music choices.
